Tani and I went to this year's KOMIKON in Bahay ng Alumni, UP Grounds just this saturday (Nov. 22, 2008). Tani had to go for his 2dpost finals - he had to sell his comic book, and I tagged along (being the comic fan that I am).
I love indie comics and Iove the super marked down prices!! We bought a bunch of super galing/artistic/whapak comic books (more like pages stapled together) and 2 of the 4 KikoMachine comic books (#5 will be released early next year), and WE ARE LAUGHING OUR ASSES OFF!!! Super lafftrip talaga.
I love how Manix Abrera used the space/panels diffferently, I love his characters (panx not dead!), love his political punches, love how he uses Tagalog, and syempre his corny jokes na benta naman. We are looking forward to buying his other 2 (or 3) books and to next year's KOMIKON.
